So, what's all this internal disagreement about signing Boyd?

Jets sign WR Mike Williams (1 year, $15 million): B+ Grade

This signing is very similar to the Tyron Smith acquisition. Smith is a great talent who is a major risk who can't stay healthy. However, the Jets, who have Super Bowl aspirations, were correct to sign him to a 1-year deal because they're the sort of team that should be taking on that risk.

Williams is also a great talent who is a major injury risk. He has even greater medical red flags than Smith because he's coming off a torn ACL. If I were the Jets, I'd put him in bubble wrap until Thanksgiving and then unleash him in the final month of the season. Williams is very likely to injure another part of his lower body if he returns early. However, the Jets are going all in, so taking a chance like this makes a lot of sense.

Hmmmm, I thought all players wanted to win and play for a great coach.
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

Wouldn?t have an NFL if Tomlin was the only coach players wanted to play for.. lol.
